On the Easel Today: Interior Book Illustration

Hoping to put the finishing touches on this one today…

An interior book Illustration from the Fafhd and Grey Mouser story The Circle Curse. I really wanted to depict the first encounter with Sheelba of the Eyeless Face when Sheelba’s hut approaches from the Great Salt Marsh.

“Its legs moving nimbly as those of a cockroach, and was soon lost amongst the tangle of thorn and seahawk trees.”

Something a bit different for me but I’m really having so much fun with the soupy atmosphere on this one.
